| Try making sure your anti aliasing is not on in your singleplayer config file or setting and disable sync every frame.
These will cause lag even with a good card. But i have only lag spikes on multi

| It's a older system and Black Ops is a demanding game. I can keep it at 125 Fps. | |

but it doesnt make sense, even at medium gfx on mw2 i can get maybe 60fps, but on black ops on the lowest possible graphics it goes to 10 fps with constant freezes and teleports. ill just wait till they make a patch. im betting it shud run fine after i patch it

| I think a 9600 ain't gonna cut it on the game.
I hope I'm wrong but we'll see.
What CPU you got too?
That can bottleneck your GFX if it ain't fast enough.

That can bottleneck your GFX if it ain't fast enough. it says the lowest u can have is 8600gt so its still halfway decent. plus like i said before. usually with new games my fps drops like 15-20fps each game. so for example, cod4 was about 100fps, codwaw was about 80fps, mw2 was about 60fps so that means black ops should still be 40 fps. its very weird, cause it says i have usually 50-60 fps, however i freeze all the time and it goes in like slow motion and is fucking annoying as shit. I cant aim, or even walk straight. Plus when i fire full auto guns, it doesnt even sound full auto cause itll freeze, or go slow motion. Then when i unfreeze ill end up dead or have to reload. Ill just wait for this lag patch they said they are making and if i still have problems, ill just get a new gfx card

| Right ! New update has done on steam i hope it fixes your problems let us know lads.
I agree a slow cpu can bottleneck your card but even so. Your systems should handle this game i mean its not crysis is it.
You just need every setting turned down or off. Then you should have something playable.
As for bottlenecking its generally not seen unless you upgrade your gfx card to massive Speciation increase difference.
Without upgrading your cpu thus not reaching the new cards potential. But i would say yours are equally matched.
Last point always keep your gfx driver updated.
